London bus crash: 26 people injured as double decker vehicle smashes into railway bridge with roof ripped off
The collision took place at 4am in Tottenham, north London, with five passengers being rushed to hospital
A double decker bus in north London has smashed into a railway bridge, injuring 26 people.
The incident took place at 4am in Tottenham, with five passengers being taken to hospital with injuries.
Some passengers were trapped on the double decker vehicle, with emergency services having to break them free.
London Fire Brigade was called to the scene at 4.05am, a spokesman said.

Shocking pictures show the vehicle with its roof ripped off after colliding with the bridge.
The extent of the injuries sustained by passengers is not known.

A spokesman for London Fire Brigade said: "Two fire engines, a fire rescue unit and 15 firefighters were called to a collision involving a bus and a railway bridge on St Lays Road in Tottenham early this morning.
