The passionate pop anthems of German singer-songwriter ISAAK are all about pushing listeners towards deep truths. His artistic goals were plainly stated a couple years ago when he hit the scene with “Impact” and “Water to the Seed.” Indeed, nourishment begins at the roots. DJ David Puentez was an early fan of ISAAK’s belting realness, and tapped him for 2022’s “Baby Steps,” which has more than 20 million Spotify streams to date. Since then, the multi-instrumentalist who was originally inspired by Jason Mraz and Jim Morrison has been taking bigger and broader steps. The breathless “Always on the run” espouses pulsating mantras in the studium-ready vein of Imagine Dragons. Its success earned ISAAK a spot in Eurovision 2024, where he finished as a finalist. Ahead of his latest EP, ‘would i be yours?,’ the Vevo DSCVR team captured an exclusive version of “I don’t know,” along with previous single “Happy tears.” “I think this is the best project I’ve ever done,” he confidently revealed while adding that his 2025 plans include “playing as much shows as possible.” Clearly, there’s no bottom to ISAAK’s creative well.
