City Councilwoman demands resources following quadruple shooting

Baltimore City Councilwoman Odette Ramos is speaking out about changes she wants to see in her district, following a quadruple shooting that injured four people Saturday afternoon. Ramos said it was the second shooting in that area in roughly three weeks. Ramos said the shooting was frustrating, adding that she's been asking for additional resources to address the activity at the intersection of Greenmount and Venable Avenues. District 14 is slated to have the city's Group Violence Reduction Strategy (GVRS) sometime this year, but following Saturday's shooting, Ramos is demanding the strategy be implemented immediately. "We know that it works, and like I said, I knew we were going to be one of the last ones (to get it implemented)," Ramos said. "But just given (Saturday's) scenario, which again, we don't have a lot of details on, but something's got to happen."
