In Call of Duty 2, the Bergstein mission, also known as Approaching Hill 400, tasks the player with clearing German-occupied houses under heavy resistance, including MG42 positions. After regrouping with Sgt. Randall, the squad faces intense mortar fire before advancing south to secure more houses. Moving north, the player eliminates mortar teams, with a squadmate blasting a wall for access. Progressing through another house, the player neutralizes an MG42 position and clears enemy forces before destroying a Panzerwerfer with a Satchel Charge. The mission concludes after securing the church and regrouping with Randall.
