This project was originally initiated on Unreal Engine 4 but has since been upgraded to Unreal Engine 5 to take advantage of the newer engine's capabilities.

The team behind 2Unreal5Underground, primarily a duo of developers, has been working on this remake to bring a modern touch to the classic racing game. They’ve focused on improving various aspects of the game, including enhanced physics, car performance, and visual effects. The remaster is designed to stay true to the original game while incorporating new features like improved aerodynamics, updated car customization options, and advanced lighting and particle effects.
