The police set up a task group to look into the spate of horrific murders that shook Hong Kong. Formerly a superb detective who had a mental breakdown, Jun (Sean Lau) launches his own inquiry. The police eventually discover that the murder victims are all potential suspects in open cases that are being closed by a person known as "The Sleuth." Now, Jun and a task force detective are in a race against time to outwit the vicious killer.
