Doom 3's Hidden Maps (20th Anniversary Special)

In the day before Doom 3 turns 20 (and makes me feel older than dirt), we'll take a look at one of the more obscure aspects of this game - the hidden testmaps that somehow remained in the game after its release.

Despite its somewhat controversial standing with the community, Doom 3 defined an entire era in the history of the series, and thus remains one of the most significant and important Doom games. It is also the last Doom game to be worked on by founding members of id Software. Without it, the Doom series could have faded away during the 00's, a time when the FPS genre was evovling faster than ever before.

Of course, we'll be using the original 2004 release, as it is the only one to have hidden maps. Besides, I like it more than the BFG Edition, overall.
