Sorry, I forgot to cover Poltergeists. These mutants will through physics objects at you. Use a shotgun or highly damaging round and aim slightly above the glowing particles to kill it.

Also forgot about zombified stalkers. They will shoot at you with whatever gun they had when they were zombified. Just treat them like normal stalkers and aim for the head.
