Internet Cafe Evolution is a game that sends us back in time to a golden age of internet cafes! We get to design the internet cafe, choose the computers on the desks, interact with the people and place many plants!

Although I was expecting to be whisked back to the 1990s we do in fact start in the year 2000-and-something (not quite sure) at a fairly successful cafe. We meet a few characters and then, after quite a lot of chatting, we get to work.

Our main job is completing a list of tasks in a given timeframe, things like upgrading the computers or improving happiness. We also have to keep the place running smoothly so we have to ask our customers to stop smoking or to keep the noise down!

However there are also little story bits that pop up every so often which, although somewhat curiously translated and sometimes quite lengthy, do add a nice little touch to the game to move it away from being just a standard tycoon game.
