To switch difficulty to hard. Run the mod first, open console º type: skill 3, enter it. Then type: map revenge1 to start it all over. To check, open console, type skill.]

- **Observation of Difficulty:** In the first area, use grenades as an advantage against hecu so at least they move away from their positions, during this catch them unprevented.
Snarks are very nasty in this level, try to stay away from them since in hard they delete your health with their constant multiple attacks.
Before taking the elevator, you can take the ladder to reach the first extra area which is xen, and if you must enter the portal. The portal is confusive, it is supposed to be a death ray not a portal. Whatever. In Xen don't skip weapons guarded by tentacles. And save before attempting vs Gargantua, it can be skipped, but 1 satchel, all grenades and a couple of grenade launcher whould finish him. As long as you keep your grenades for further fights which will serve your vs troops or alien grunts everything is fine.
Before going inside truck, make sure you have picked up everything.
If you're lucky you might kill both alien grunts with trip mines but as they spawn in any unknown location who know if they are going to touch your lasers.
Let the chopper eliminate all the alien controllers. We don't have ammo for them and they are very far away. Blow the chopper like in the movies, get out of water , shoot the rocket and booom he's history.
In the area with 2 tanks, be really carefull with the passage ahead, there's an insane grenade launcher obsessed soldier.
Further area is simple; 2 assassins crawling between tanks, not much of a danger. But, after that, another insane grenade launcher will show up! And the final area is the most catastrofic it's pure grenade launcher battlefield, I recommend the use of satchels and retreat back!
If you blow up the radio with explosives over the green box you'll reveal the second and the last secret. Be away of 2 hecu in there! They won't wait to pull the trigger on you!

To switch weapons when having no HEV suit is: press and hold "[" or "]" + "Alt Gr" (both) followed by left click mouse. This is how you switch weapons before getting HEV suit.]

📖 **Author Description:**
- Our hero has become very bitter toward the government for sending in the stormtroopers to kill everything at Black Mesa, including himself. He finds his way to another installation where the government continues experimenting with the world of Xen. With the taste of blood still fresh in his mouth, he sets out to get some more. His HEV suit, torn and battered, is of no use and he will have to penetrate the lab complex to get a new one. If he can blast his way through the gauntlet of enemies, an F-16 sits poised for his escape. The game ends at this point. There are two hidden areas somewhere among the levels if you can find them.
Both present a challenge when you get there and a small reward.
