Windows 7 has an update in 2024

Windows 7 just received an update on patch Tuesday (1/9/24). Note: this is a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate, with installed ESU updates for all 3 years past the official end of support. The update in question is the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool, v. 5.120, and it does not require a restart, however I filmed the updates screen. Since there are still aging Windows 10 LTSC and various embedded editions that are still receiving updates 'the old way', Microsoft has to ensure this tool is compatible across many different versions of the OS. This is the reason the tool is still compatible with the out-of-support Windows 7 and Windows Update downloads newer versions of it.
