Bodycam DUI Arrest - 18-Year-Old Woman Shocks Officers With Her Level of Intoxication

On June 9, 2023, Janesville police officers were dispatched to a hit and run involving a possibly intoxicated driver. Sgt. Severson located the vehicle, which was driven by an 18-year-old woman. When he initiated made contact with her, he immediately knew she was intoxicated, but he was clearly off when he estimated her BAC would be 0.15% or 0.16%. Another officer whispers to a fellow officer that her result on a portable breath test (PBT) was 0.30%. She was arrested for DUI and transported to the Janesville police station. She submitted to an evidentiary breath test and the result was 0.268% BAC. Her charges and the result of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
