Demo: The New A.I. Features in Windows 11: Voice Focus, Auto-Framing, More | Microsoft Ignite 2022

Guitarist Bob Bejan helps Panos and Stevie demonstrate Voice Focus, which filters out background sounds so people can hear you clearly. Also demonstrated are Auto-Framing, Eye Contact, and Portrait Blur.

These features use A.I. to solve complex problems. They are rolling into Windows 11 this month, although they also require capable hardware. Analyzing video and audio streams in real time is processing-intensive!

Microsoft solves the hardware problem with Surface Pro 9, whose 5G variants incorporate a powerful new Microsoft-designed neural processing unit (NPU) that can handle more than 15 trillion operations per second while using only a few watts of power. While the NPU handles your A.I. processing, your CPU and GPU remain free to run your apps smoothly.

Surface Pro 9 will be available October 24, 2022, and is available for pre-order now.
