Serious Sam 2: 24 Greendale (Serious 100%)

Welcome to Chapter 5, the Elf world. I think it's called Ellineer but I honestly don't know. Anyway, it's one of my favorite chapters with lots of greenery and fantasy architecture that's reminiscent of medieval Europe. In a way, it's a cartoony version of what I expected SS4 to look like when the reveal trailers were released. It definitely feels a bit closer to SS4 now with dual wielding and sprinting.

First level's pretty neat with large open fields and a hover-fighter to help traverse it. There's a nice mix of ground and vehicle combat and the secret hover fighter after crossing the bridge is very useful. Thankfully traditional Kamikazes make an appearance to replace those stupid clowns but they're only in this level which is kind of sad. The Sniper Rifle also makes a return and so do a few enemies from M'Digbo which is pretty interesting, namely the Footballers.

As a side note, I'm not a fan of the hover-fighter variant in this level. The lasers it shoots are massive and spawn in from the sides of the fighter and there's a lot of uneven terrain; these 2 things combined usually cause one of the laser cannons to get cut off, reducing firepower and damage. It's not game breaking but it's definitely annoying to have to constantly fight with the angling of the fighter and terrain to ensure both laser guns fire. I hope Croteam fixes the spawn points for the laser guns but I doubt it.
