Why weapon BANS are MEAN - Explained for 'NORMAL PEOPLE'

A bit of a ramble aimed at 'normal' folks, to try and help them understand why weapon bans are so mean to those of us whose lives, hobbies, jobs and passions revolve around weapons, historical or modern. I know that this probably won't get through and might not be effective, but if it makes one person change how they look at this issue, then maybe it was worthwhile.
