The Making of Tomb Raider is a retrospective documentary on the development of the PS1 classic, the original Tomb Raider from 1996. Join us as we go behind the scenes of Lara Croft's first adventure, and review the creation of a classic with Tomb Raider 1.
The late 90's would see an explosion of games utilizing 3D rendered graphics, an event that would change the landscape of video games forever. One such game was the original Tomb Raider. An ambitious project put together by a team of only six core developers; Tomb Raider would become a landmark for the genre of third person action games. In this episode I take an extensive look into the development of Tomb Raider 1. This video is compiled together from a litany of different quotes, clips, and sources, in an attempt to tell the story of the development team that started one of the biggest franchises in gaming.
