Welcome to World Cup Travelers. In today's video, we will review the qualifying format for the 2024 UEFA Euro Cup to be played in Germany from June 14th to July 14th, 2024.
a total of 23 teams will qualify for next year's tournament and will join the host Germany for a total of 24 teams.
20 teams will qualify directly from the group stage. The teams have already been divided into 10 groups. 7 groups of 5 and 3 groups of 6 and will play home and away matches against each other. The top 2 teams per group will qualify for the 2024 Euro.
The remaining 3 slots will come from a UEFA Nations League play-off.
The top 4 ranked teams from each league that did not qualify directly from the group stage will participate in a playoff semi-final and final format. These will be the final 3 teams to qualify for the tournament.
The final draw for the tournament will take place on December 2nd, 2023.
