What is Boney M?
Boney M. was a Euro-Caribbean vocal group founded by Frank Farian, a German record producer and the group's major songwriter. Liz Mitchell and Marcia Barrett from Jamaica, Maizie Williams from Montserrat, and Bobby Farrell, a performing artist from Aruba, were the four initial members of the group's official line-up, which was based in West Germany. The group was created in 1976 and rose to prominence during the late 1970s disco era. Since the 1980s, the band has performed with various lineups and personnel.
