Gerd Muller is Germany's best ever striker and one of their best ever players and in today's video we will be telling the story of Gerd Muller. Gerd Muller played alongside Franz Beckenbauer, Sepp Maier and many other greats at Bayern Munich and the German national team but Muller would leave a mark on football by breaking many records and winning countless awards. Winning both the world cup and ballon d'or, Muller is widely considered as one of the best strikers and football players ever! He held the record for most goals in a calendar year for over 40 years where he scored 85 goals in 1972. This would however be broken by Lionel Messi in 2012 and to this day Gerd Muller is still the all time leading goalscorer in the Bundesliga.
