"Snooze" was the first album released as leader by American pianist Joanne Brackeen (born Joanne Grogan) from Ventura, California. The album was recorde as trio featuring Cecil McBee on bass and Billy Hart on drums. Joanne Brackeen is one of jazz's most prized possessions: a virtuoso pianist and master composer who embodies the history and evolution of jazz from traditional to free, and everything in between. Her sense of time, rhythm and playful and complex moods always permeates her repertoire.
