Trains at Doncaster - 18th March 2023

Some interesting traffic was available to view at Doncaster on Saturday 18th March despite industrial action meaning Northern services were not running and LNER were operating a reduced timetable. The highlight of the morning was DRS' veteran 37422 'Victorious' arriving light-engine from York and Locomotive Services Limited's 'Midland Pullman', making a journey to Scotland for a three day railtour. The latter allows us the joy of witnessing something that for decades ocurred several times a day; the passage of an Intercity 125 set at speed through Doncaster's centre roads.
