Bodycam video shows a California police officer shooting an alleged armed suspect who attempted to carjack a vehicle during the pursuit on Oct. 24 in Castro Valley. The Hayward Police Department said the mother of the suspect's ex-girlfriend and other witnesses called 911 stating he was armed with a gun and threatening them inside their home before leaving in his vehicle. Officers pursued the suspect after he fled an attempted traffic stop before taking the chase on foot. Authorities said an officer shot the suspect after he allegedly attempted to open a passing driver's car door. The man later died of his injuries at a nearby hospital.
