It took an extra period, but No. 8 Virginia defended its home court in a win over Duke, 69-62. The Cavaliers’ defense forced the Blue Devils into 22 turnovers that they turned into 20 points. Armaan Franklin scored a game-high 23 points in the victory on 9-13 shooting and added 3 rebounds. Kihei Clark had 16 points (11 of which came in the second half) on 7-10 shooting to go with 5 assists. For Duke, Jeremy Roach had a team-high 16 points.
