Samaritans across India step up to feed the hungry during Covid-19 lockdown

While the authorities are doing their level best to provide ration and free meals to citizens; a number of organisations, religious kitchens and individuals have also come to the forefront to feed hungry souls. One such organisation is the Atal kitchen from Lucknow which is providing meals to the needy in the city. Being run at the Gandhi Bhawan in Lucknow, this kitchen is providing free home-cooked meals from the scratch. Running under the banner of ‘Atal Bhojanalaya’, citizens can come here and eat the free meal which is prepared carefully keeping all Covid-19 SOPs in mind. Meanwhile, in the city of Vizag, an individual named Anusha is going an extra mile and providing around 300 packets of a home-cooked meal to the needy in her city. She has also been distributing high-protein foods like meat and eggs for the last 25 days to ensure the speedy recovery of the citizens. Meanwhile, in Rajouri district of Jammu & Kashmir, the Indian Army has also been distributing food packets to the needy along with distributing sanitisers, masks and conducting workshops to spread awareness regarding the virus.
