R.O.B.T.F. (Robot Orbital Base Techno Factory) is a band, which combines electronic music with live instruments. Its style is mainly drum ‘n’ bass. The band’s discography includes: 'Robot Labs' – 1997, 'Ability to Connect' – 2000, 'Nuclear Decomposed' – 2001, 'Green Level' Live – 2002, 'Eco-Teleporter' – 2004 and 'UFO Festival Vol 5' 2019.
R.O.B.T.F. have performed many concerts and participated in numerous media events. They were supporting band for 'Metalheadz' in Sofia in 1999; played at both editions of the 'Computer Space' festival in 1999 and 2000, held by DS Music. Other performances include: 'Extreme' festival sharing stage with 'Phuture Shock', 'Baby Face Clan', and 'Gravity Co.'; CubeFest 1 in 2003, CubeFest 2 in 2003, Tangra Mega Rock’s birthday in 2007; The Brixton Telegraph Club In London in 2006, Spirit of Burgas and many others.
The band was formed by some of the most prominent figures on Sofia alternative scene in 1999: Zdravko 'ZZ' Minev (Crash, Alien Industry), Mihail Yalandjiev – Tsuro (Crash, Era, Syco Tribe, Transformation, Sheky and The Bloodyboys), Dobrin Fillipov (Crash, Era), Alexander Yanev (Panican Whyasker, Nassekomix), and Dimitar Vasilev – Nufri (Pyromania, Plastic Hi Fi, Panican Whyasker.)
After Tsuro passed over in September 2007 some changes followed with Joro Varamezov taking on drums, and Ognian Drandiyski 'O.J.' - on guitars and vocals.
In 2017 Dobrin Filipov and Nufri came back for a big reunion show dedicated to Tsuro's commemorative event. Since then the band is occasionally working on new material and some plans for the next revival series have been in progress.
